Get To Know Me

My name is Matilda Whitby, I have been video editing for 6 years, currently looking for freelance or remote video editing work.

I completed a 3-year course studying BA(Hons) Post-Production and VFX at Salford University, graduating with a First Class Honours in 2025, and I recieved an award from my University for 'Best Editing' for my Final Project.

I studied video editing for 5 years, and have experimented with many different forms of video production, and have also created projects in multiple different genres, like horror, comedy, drama, and more.

I have experience editing multiple different forms of media, such as podcasts, short form (TikTok, Instagram Reels), promotional, interviews, documentaries, advertisements, music videos, etc.

I'm a very creative person, who is extremely interested in experimenting with new editing techniques and visual effects, learning new skills in the editing field, and being challenged with different ideas, concepts and projects.

I am a very hard worker. I will always meet any deadline given to me, whilst still making sure my work is at its best quality possible. Any work I am given will always be completed by the set deadline, meeting the requirements whilst offering creative input where beneficial. I am a passionate and dedicated editor, who is always striving to learn new skills and develop my skills to become a better editor.
